2) THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
***********************************************
“101 Kind and Positive Thoughts For
Westie Owners On Rough Days!”
http://www.madaboutwesties.com/kindthoughts.html
***********************************************
There are days when we feel sorry for ourselves. It is the nature of being human. However when I was up the street yesterday, doing a message, I saw a man who had what I presumed was emphysema. This meant that he actually had to carry oxygen to help him with his breathing difficulty.
If you have good health, you do need reminding of what a blessing you already have. This quote by Helen Keller should I hope, help bring this home to you.
*********************************************************
“Self pity is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything good in the world
……………………Helen Keller
********************************************************
Helen Keller: was the deaf blind woman who became a role model for millions of people. In 1964, Helen was awarded the Presidential Medal Of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian award, by President Lyndon Johnson. A year later she was elected to the Women’s Hall of Fame at the new York World’s Fair..
Take care of yourselves

3) READERS QUESTION! - Great Response
a) Question Posted On the Forum: - What's Your Westie's Favourite
Toy/s - Posted by Karen
When my parents first got Hamish he has quite a few toys that he would play with: I remember him playing with a large squeaky clothes peg and a toy hedgehog a lot....
Then Rufus arrived a year later ... Shocked
Rufus destroyed all of Hamish's toys that he had played with so carefully Laughing So now Hamish doesn't really play with toys, apart from now and then. Rufus' favourite is a ball with textured bumps on it, but the squeak has gone on that now. He also had a giggling ball which he liked, but not sure if that still 'giggles' Very Happy He also likes anything he can pick up and carry around with him, like the Doggy Newspaper - when he says hello he tries to put his toy in your ear! Very Happy
Rufus also likes balloons and will go around for ages holding one in his mouth - trouble is Hamish will jump on them and pop them if Ruf leaves any unattended and then Rufus will whinge because it's been popped Laughing
Fun and Games! Wink

Our westie loves playing with a football. Can't get enough of it. loves for you to play soccer with him. He plays with so much enthusiasm and seriousness, I really think that he would trip you up. However it's great exercise and fun

Our westies favorite toys at the moment are the hoover and the cat. Fortunately she can put him in his place. It is very funny to watch

Mack loves anything which squeaks! He especially loves to get them from his toybox when the news comes on TV!!
He loves soft teddies too. They surround his bed and all have names - if you ask Mack to go and get, lets say Florrie - he gets Florrie - he knows exactly WHO you are referring to!!

We've just had Corbie squeaking all the way through a film, squeaker is now dead Laughing
Rufus had a ball which made giggling noises and mum bought one for Corbie and packed it in a bag for when they came up to visit - Rufus got it out and was playing with it!! Laughing

Cotton my adult westie loves tennis balls. Casey loves anything he can get his little puppy teeth on. He is silly. But I must say out of every toy my adult westie Cotton has had, she has kept one squeek toy that she has had since she was 12 weeks old. It looks like a tennis shoe. That is her ultimate favorite. I bought one for Casey now, and Cotton took it from him.

My seven month old Murray's favorite toy is our other westie Baxter.
He loves to chew on him and tries to hang on him! Luckily Baxter loves the little guy and is very tolerant! He likes chasing a tennis ball but he loves chasing Baxter!
