1) EDITOR'S THOUGHTS!- I was bitten by my own Westie
Hi. I do hope this issue of the newsletter finds you
all well.
Update on the comedy of errors (in last newsletter) where
the Westie went to the vet to have the lead removed and I went to the hospital to have a tetanus injection and
a course of antibioditics. We are all well now and me
and the dog are talking again.
Just a reminder that I hope you all received the new update regarding the new
photo gallery and forum at:
http://www.crazyaboutwesties.com
Please remember to send in your photos, stories and quotes.

2) READERS STORY:
"Sorry I have been out of touch - 3 young boys and a puppy will do it to you.
Our Westie Charlie has been a phenomenal addition to our family. He is absolutely beautiful in EVERY way. Of course our breeder is a wonderful woman and that helps!!
Charlie is now 12 weeks old and fantastic. He was a singleton pup and so he just eats up all the affection he can and loves everyone and every dog in his path. He certainly lives up to the standard that Westies are smart dogs because he is!
Do not have photos at this moment but will get some to you shortly!!"

3) READERS QUESTION!
In answer to a question by one of our readers on the forum about whether they should have a Westie because they are at work full
time.
1) Question Posted On the Forum:
Our Westie Oscar is due for his first visit to the grooming parlor. The trouble is he will not even let me or Chris go near him with a brush, he just tries to eat it!! I'm really worried about his behavior when he is at the groomers ( he is as good as gold any other time) any suggestions please!!
Whoever said it was like having a baby again was so right !!

My parents westies are opposites when it comes to having their fur cut.
One will take it all in his stride, but the other tries to jump into my mum's arms
every time she takes him (poor little boy is currently at the vets as he was not at all well last night and had to have x-rays, so hoping he's going to be ok; my mum is waiting to hear from the vet).
I'm sure the groomer would have come across other dogs a lot worse than your little Oscar, but let them know how he is with the brush, so they know what to expect ... hopefully little Oscar will enjoy the pampering

Oscar looks brilliant with his new haircut. After all my worrying the groomer says he was fine. We took him to the coast as a treat and he had his first experience of sand and sea, you guessed it he loved rolling in the cool sand and my granddaughter had a whale of a time wetting him and herself.

Karen's Answer:
Glad to hear Oscar got on well and is enjoying his new haircut!
Hamish had his haircut last week, but Rufus missed his as he had to spend a few days at the vets. I think he was getting booked in for his this week as my mum says he's looking very scruffy compared to Hamish now
